Have you always wanted to expand your interpreting knowledge to better interpret in the outdoor fields? Join CorpsTHAT and Vancro Integrated Interpreting Services on May 15th at 7pm EST for our Outdoor Interpreting Workshop. If you were able to join the Conservation Interpreting workshop from CorpsTHAT last month, then you know you're in for a treat with this one as well!
 
This is for any interpreter interested in learning more about what outdoor and recreation fields encompass, how to better prepare and what to expect or consider as an interpreter taking outdoor-related assignments and common terminology that is often used in outdoor or recreation settings. 
 
Workshop Details:
Date: 5/15 7-9pm EST
Location: Virtual on Zoom 
Language Used: Presented in ASL without interpretation
Presenter: Sam (Marlo) Bragg, CorpsTHAT Field and Logistics Director
Registration Fee: $20 (free for Vancro interpreters)

The Educational Objectives for this workshop are:
-Understand the basics of outdoor field
-Know how to prepare and what to expect and consider as an interpreter taking an outdoor interpreting assignment
-Exposure to common terminology (acronyms, techniques)
-Exposure to types of training and experience necessary to take on outdoor interpreting assignments
-Introduce interpreters to idea of ethical interpreting in the outdoors
