Our goal is to enhance the capacity of community organizations serving DDBDDHH+ individuals by providing training, resources, and technical assistance. By strengthening organizational infrastructure, we aim to improve efficiency, sustainability, and effectiveness in delivering services and support to the community.

Education

Our goal is to promote awareness and understanding of the experiences, needs, and rights of DDBDDHH+ individuals within the broader community. Through educational initiatives, workshops, and outreach events, we aim to dismantle stereotypes, reduce stigma, and foster empathy and inclusivity.

Community Outreach

Our goal is to expand our reach and engage with diverse communities to raise awareness about the challenges faced by DDBDDHH+ individuals and promote inclusivity. Through targeted outreach efforts, events, and collaborations, we aim to build meaningful connections, foster dialogue, and create a supportive network of allies and advocates especially in underserved rural communities.

Allies Conference 2025

The Allies Conference is an opportunity for open and honest dialogue about cultural and linguistic oppression present at interpreted events – sometimes manifested by hearing individual(s) and sometimes by interpreter(s). In years past, participants have explored the positive and negative behaviors exhibited by interpreters in their ethical and social response to such oppression before, during, and after interpreting assignments. The concept of cultural and linguistic oppression is a multi-faceted awareness that may be common to many and also may be unique to a few.

Interpreter Workshops

We offer workshops specifically designed for interpreters to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Our mission is twofold: to uplift the interpreting community and, in turn, enhance the quality of service provided to the communities we serve. By participating in our workshops, interpreters can expand their skills and knowledge, ultimately both their professional growth and the individuals they assist. Join us in making a positive impact!
